The ECS 8040 is the excellence in the CHNS/O analysis. Born from the long tradition and expertise of NC Technologies, it represents the instrument suitable for any application.

Its analytical performances place it among the analyzers appropriate for the so-called “semi macro weighing”, that is, for all those applications in which the weighing of the sample becomes decisive and representative of a non-homogeneous sample type to obtain repeatable results.

It is an instrument for organic elemental analysis based on high-temperature catalytic combustion (Dumas method) for the simultaneous determination of the elements CHNS and possibly O as an option.

The ECS 8040 is the automatic model that represents an evolution of the elemental analysis techniques based on “flash combustion” and chromatographic separation. The combustion gases CO2, H2O, SO2 and N2 are separated in a GC column maintained at a constant temperature, selectable by the user between 30° and 110 °C. The detection and determination of the concentrations of the various elements is carried out by a thermal conductivity detector (TCD).

The ECS 8040 is a fully automated analytical unit, controlled by a microprocessor and interfaced with a computer. The results can be displayed directly via PC using dedicated software.
